POSITION SUMMARY:

The Treasury Specialist – Wire Recs position exists to complete daily bank reconciliations for wire transfers and recording daily incoming and outgoing wires, validate wiring instructions for outgoing wires, and daily bank reporting of Fed Reference numbers for outgoing wires.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Reconciliation of incoming wires and outgoing wire disbursements for the accounts that support Silverton processes, including recording journal entries.

  • Researches, analyzes, and follows up on reconciling items affecting bank accounts.

  • Works closely with VMF Accounting to identify reconciling items related to cash for purchase clearing and funding clearing.

  • Works with VMF Treasury Analysts on wire transfers to include:

    • entering wires for approval,

    • validating wire instructions,

    • providing Fed Reference numbers for wires sent

    • protecting the company from fraudulent transactions.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred, but not required.

  • Accounting, bookkeeping, or reconciliation experience a plus.

  • Must have great communication skills with all levels of management.

  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office with an emphasis in Excel.

  • Great attention to detail, organizational and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently.

  • Motivated and self-starter.

  • Quality minded.

  • Willing to learn, hard-working, determined and assertive.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.

  • Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a telephone, calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.

  • 90% communication methods completed over the phone. Must be able to exchange accurate information at all times.

  • Ability to identify and assess account status and determine appropriate process.

  • Constantly works in an indoor temperature controlled, sealed window office environment.
