Team Leaders supervise a group of 4-6 Account Representatives and are
responsible for managing delinquency and repossessions for their team’s
portfolio of loans.
Ensures team members have the necessary tools to achieve monthly
Trains team members on acceptable collection practices and
procedures; ensures accounts are worked in compliance with
acceptable collections practices and procedures.
Reviews and approves extension requests, legal inputs, and
Reviews delinquent loans and identifies areas of opportunity.
Assists team members with escalated or supervisory calls.
Reviews and approves home inspections and legal notices.
Tracks performance metrics for all team members.
Provides ongoing mentoring/development of all team members;
conducts annual performance reviews on all team members.
Works with Senior Account Representatives to ensure all team
members receive ongoing training and regularly scheduled call
Performs other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent required; college preferred.
Basic computer skills with ability to type at least 25 wpm.
Working knowledge of the AS400 system preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively via phone, email, and
Capable of gathering facts accurately, analyzing root causes,
evaluating alternate solutions, and arriving at sound conclusions
on action to be taken.
Knowledge of mortgage industry laws and regulations pertaining to
collections, repossession, legal, and bankruptcy activity.
Ability to manage multiple and/or conflicting responsibilities.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.
Must be able to operate a computer and other office equipment, such
as telephone, calculator, copy machine, and/or printer.
