POSITION SUMMARY:

The Loan Services Research Supervisor exists to oversee the daily functions of the Research Department, as well as the Mortgage Insurance Specialist.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Problem solve and answer questions for internal departments and external existing customers as well as auditors and members of management.

  • Set and monitor department goals.

  • Plan department projects and specialized audits and works with Leadership and the team to determine necessary business process changes and meet deadlines for completion.

  • Oversee Silverton boarding and warehousing including coordinating with other departments to ensure Silverton loans are boarding and warehousing appropriately.

  • Oversee MIP process to include: schedule reconciliation, timely payment of premiums, timely refunds, and timely letter generation.

  • Work with programming and other departments to implement process improvements or changes as needed.

  • Maintain KRONOS for the Research team and collaborate continuing education for the department.

  • Facilitate training for specialized processes for internal departments; such as PMI, Escrow, and SCRA.

  • Serve as the rating manager for Loan Services Research team members on their annual performance and development review.

  • Create and maintain regular reports of department requests and project statuses.

  • Respond to all Loan Audit and Compliance Audit audits to complete required action items and maintains team follow-up on resolving audit findings.

  • Update and maintain the Loan Services - Research portion of the Operations Manual.

  • Maintain documentation of all Research processes and practices.

  • Interviewing, goal setting, assessing daily work product, coaching, mentoring, and counseling are all essential parts of the position.

  • Assist with maintenance of the 1098/1099 process.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • 1 year of experience in leadership/management a plus.

  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with internal departments via phone, email and fax.

  • Ability to manage multiple duties with a sense of urgency.

  • Great attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

  • Strong computer skills a must.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.

  • Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a telephone, calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.

  • 90% communication methods completed over the phone. Must be able to exchange accurate information at all times.

  • Ability to identify and assess account status and determine appropriate process.

  • Constantly works in an indoor temperature controlled, sealed window office environment.
