The Tax Specialist exists to review incoming tax notices on existing customers to ensure that all information is received, and/or the necessary information is obtained.


  • Works a daily sequence of accounts on a daily basis.

  • Performs follow-up for existing accounts in a timely manner.

  • Researches tax bills, payments and obtains tax receipts and certificates.

  • Communicates with tax offices, remarketing and loss mitigation managers, attorneys, land/park owners, debtors and other associates to obtain tax information on repossessed and legal homes, process tax payments and documents accounts.

  • Processes refunds and escrow adjustments as needed.

  • Exhibits high level of judgment and discretion.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.


  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other applications.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently via phone, email and person to person.

  • Capable of gathering facts accurately, analyze causes, evaluate alternate solutions and arrive at sound conclusions on action to be taken.

  • Ability to manage multiple and/or conflicting responsibilities.

  • Great attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work in a team environment.


  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.

  • Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a telephone, calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.

  • 90% communication methods completed over the phone. Must be able to exchange accurate information at all times.

  • Ability to identify and assess account status and determine appropriate process.

  • Constantly works in an indoor temperature controlled, sealed window office environment.
