POSITION SUMMARY:

FHA Title II Loan Auditors exist to audit FHA loans in accordance with FHA and VMF standards. Performs purely administrative tasks surrounding loan processing. Does not negotiate or advise credit terms with consumers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Audits FHA Title II processing and closing packages with the purpose of meeting expectations of Compliance and HUD requirements.

  • Works closely with all processors, closers and underwriters for necessary corrections.

  • Prepares Case Binder files on HUD audits for Mortgage Insurance Certificates.

  • Communicates results of audits to upper management with the purpose to ensure compliance.

  • Provides recommendations for process improvements.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required, college a plus.

  • At least 2 years of mortgage lending experience.

  • A strong preference for FHA processing experience.

  • Must submit to a credit check used only for Arizona licensing purposes.

  • Familiarity with manufactured housing is preferred.

  • Ability to work on multiple assignments with a great sense of urgency.

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.

  • Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a telephone, calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.

  • 90% communication methods completed over the phone. Must be able to exchange accurate information at all times.

  • Ability to identify and assess account status and determine appropriate process.

  • Constantly works in an indoor temperature controlled, sealed window office environment.
