The Loan Processor position exists to evaluate the financial details
and background of the applicant. They perform purely administrative
tasks surrounding loan processing. They do not negotiate or advise
credit terms with consumers.
Coordinates with borrowers regarding intent to proceed and
reallocation of funds, and to gather conditions needed for a loan
Processes mortgage packages on behalf of the Loan Specialists
Communicates with the realtors, independent dealers, and consumers
to explain and request documents required to clear loan conditions.
Requests finalized purchase agreement from Home Center
Representative just prior to ordering appraisals.
Orders and tracks appraisals, title work, and flood certifications.
Monitors processing pipeline to ensure loans are progressing based
on regulatory and company’s requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or Equivalent required, college a plus.
Strong computer skills with ability to type at least 25 wpm.
At least 2 years of mortgage lending experience a plus.
Strong communication skills with a high sense of urgency.
Ability to conduct research and make knowledgeable decisions
regarding issues related to mortgage loan processing.
Must be well organized, detail oriented, be able to multi-task
Knowledge of AS/400 and Link a plus.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.
Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity
machinery, such as a telephone, calculator, copy machine, and
90% communication methods completed over the phone and/or email.
Must be able to exchange accurate information at all times.
Ability to identify and assess account status and determine
