Direct Sales Marketing Professionals exist to maximize recoveries through converting leads to prospective home owners and minimizing VMF commission expenditures. Builds trust with consumers and converts prospects to home owners while facilitating the buying process of the home (i.e. choice of home, sales price, taxes, amenities, sales documents, etc.) for assigned accounts.


  • Deliver strong verbal communication skills with external and internal customers via phone, email and person to person.

  • Exhibit great interpersonal skills, effective persuasive skills and a strong desire to provide exceptional customer service.

  • Convert leads generated from various marketing efforts to prospective home buyers.

  • Nurture prospects through home buying process.

  • Maintain customer files and provide timely follow-up with prospective buyers.

  • Develop, refine and execute a strategic sales and marketing plan to increase recovery of company assets.

  • Demonstrate ability to excel and contribute to a team environment.

  • Protect Vanderbilt Mortgage branding and assets by maintaining a high level of integrity throughout the sales process.

  • Provide a great home buying experience by exceeding the customer expectations and honoring commitments.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.


  • College degree required.

  • Goal-oriented, self-motivated personality with the capacity to meet and exceed assigned goals.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently via phone, email and person to person.

  • Great attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Must have good telephone etiquette.

  • Willing to learn, hard-working, determined and assertive.


  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.

  • Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a telephone, calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.

  • 90% communication methods completed over the phone. Must be able to exchange accurate information at all times.

  • Ability to identify and assess account status and determine appropriate process.

  • Constantly works in an indoor temperature controlled, sealed window office environment.
