Welcome Call Agents exists to contact new customers and welcome them to Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance, Inc.


  • Provides excellent customer service skills.

  • Verifies loan data and customer information using a standard format.

  • Understands and explains escrow and loan types.

  • Answers any questions that the customer may have and gives information to contact for further questions.

  • Documents service issues and forwards complaint forms to the appropriate retail sales associate.

  • Initiates Customer Satisfaction surveys.

  • Promotes teamwork and call center success.

  • Promotes company image through professional service and actions.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.


  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Computer competency with Microsoft Office and typing skills at minimum 25 wpm.

  • Great attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently via phone, email and person to person.

  • Exhibits a “can do” attitude and has the ability to work in a team environment.

  • Experience in a call center environment preferred, but not required.


  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.

  • Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a telephone, calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.

  • 90% communication methods completed over the phone. Must be able to exchange accurate information at all times.

  • Ability to identify and assess account status and determine appropriate process.

  • Constantly works in an indoor temperature controlled, sealed window office environment.
